REPTI CALCIUM ® AND REPTIVITE™: Balanced calcium and multi-vitamin supplementation for all reptiles and amphibians. Offer REPTI CALCIUM and REPTIVITE™ in alternate feedings as directed.

Proper nutrition for reptiles and amphibians is dependent on many variables. Exposure to UVB helps animals produce Vitamin D 3 in their skin, while some animals obtain vitamin D from their diet.

Either way, vitamin D is responsible for utilizing calcium within the diet.

UVB, Vitamin D 3 , heat, calcium and diet work together and are dependent on each other for balanced nutrition. 3 There is no prescribed rule for which animals need additional D , but a little research can help guide keepers in the right direction. For more information on UVB, Vitamin D and calcium, please visit Reptiles and UVB.pdf

General Recommendations: Recommended Use: With D 3 3 • Diurnal species housed indoors (Bearded Dragons, Chameleons, turtles and tortoises).

Can be offered occasionally to nocturnal animals. Recommended Use: Without D 3

Animals housed outdoors with direct exposure to sunlight for 10 hrs/day or more (i.e. Chameleons and tortoises housed outdoors).

Reptiles that eat whole vertebrate prey (eg. mice). TO READ MORE ABOUT VITAMIN D , UVB, UVA LIGHTING AND REPTILES, PLEASE VISIT:  Reptiles and UVB.pdf -REPTILES & UVB REPORT
